What does concierge medicine include?

  • Same-day and next-day visits for urgent issues
  • Prompt appointments and extended, unhurried visits
  • Expanded annual physicals tailored to each patient's unique health needs and goals
  • Emphasis on wellness and disease prevention
  • Personalized nutritional and fitness evaluations, lifestyle advice and guidance

  • Direct telephone and email access, even after hours and on weekends

Can I meet the physician before joining the practice?

Prior to joining the practice, you will be scheduled for a consultation with our onboarding physician. This is a bilateral interview. It allows you to relay your expectations and determine whether our practice is a good fit.

Is there a limit to how often I can see the physician?

You may see your physician as often as is medically necessary.

Do you make house calls?

Our office offers house calls by our physician and nurse practitioners in case of illness or inability to come to our office. Please note that this service may require an additional fee.

Can I use my FSA or HSA to pay the annual membership fee?

Our services may qualify for reimbursement. We recommend you contact your FSA or HSA benefits administrator to confirm.

Do I pay each time I see the physician?

No, office visits are included in the membership fee.

Who will cover for you when you’re not available?

Your physician’s goal is to be available 24/7, however on the occasion that they are unavailable or out on vacation, we will have another collaborating physician or nurse practitioner available to meet your needs.

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes. Your Concierge MD does not take the place of general health insurance coverage. YCMD is a primary care medical practice, not a health insurance program. You are advised to continue current commercial or Medicare insurance program, as well as participation in your FSA or HSA plan.

What if I have an emergency?

Please know that you can contact YCMD at any time you feel the need to consult with your physician; however, if you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. You can then call your physician or have the hospital personnel contact YCMD so that we can assist in your care.
